RECENT EVENTS

Oxenhope Climate Action Open Day
Saturday 21st September 2024
2.00pm - 4.30pm
At Oxenhope Community Centre

Lots of stalls with expertise on how to save energy and money,

how to reduce waste and how to improve biodiversity
at home and in our village.

Some of the questions you may have and that our experts can answer:

How can I save on my energy bills and stay warm?
Is solar worth it?
What renewable energy systems would work for me?
How can I find out where my home is losing heat?
Is an electric car for me?
How can I keep stuff out of landfill?
How can I increase pollinators at home without a garden?
Is there a way to get free trees to plant?
What fruit and veg grow well in Oxenhope?
What are other groups in the village doing to combat climate change?

Oxenhope Climate Action is a gentle attempt to encourage and help people in the village to take action to combat climate change.

You often hear people say "What difference can I make? I'm just one individual, it's big industry that needs to do something"

Well your household can make a big difference - if we all take part.

"Globally, households account for two-thirds of global greenhouse gas emissions"
